Russell Westbrook is the lesser of two evils when it comes to him and Kevin Durant, but that doesn’t mean that opposing fans are still going to like him.

After Westbrook made an and-one layup at the beginning of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s first game against the Philadelphia 76ers, he made a new friend. A Sixers fan had some kind words for Westbrook, as he flipped him off and yelled explicit words at the all-star point guard. When this fan receives texts from his friends tonight, he will either be proud or he will think twice about his actions next time he is that close to something being recorded live.
Just a day later, the fan apologized for his actions, according to Jonathan Tannenwald and Sam Wood of Philly.com.
As a part-time comedian I realize that my words and actions are sometimes inappropriate. In this instance, after standing up to boo and being provoked by Russell Westbrook calling attention to my being overweight, my action in response was clearly inexcusable and I am embarrassed. I sincerely apologize to my fellow Sixers fans, the Sixers organization, my colleagues and patients, and to Mr. Westbrook for my behavior.
