Last season when the Houston Rockets visited the Brooklyn Nets, Rockets big man Dwight Howard got into an altercation with then-Nets forward Kevin Garnett which involved headbutts, a suspension and a fine.
KG is now gone and there was nothing standing in Dwight’s way on his birthday in Brooklyn.
Marcus Thornton, who scored a season-high 32 points on the night, ran a nice little pick and roll with Dwight Howard and they caught Nets big man Brook Lopez sleeping when Dwight rolled to the rim, elevated and put down the alley-oop over Lopez’s outstretched arm, courtesy of Thornton’s nice pass.
Better luck next time, Brook. Dwight Howard showed out on his birthday.
