Rose has been special in this game.
Derrick Rose still believes he’s one of the best players in the league. Well, Rose hit a pretty elite stride in the third quarter of Game 3 against the Bucks, much like his third quarter spurt in Game 1 of this series. Rose made several plays that reminded us of his prime self, but maybe none more than this drive in transition.
Rose gets by Ersan Ilyasova and attacks a slightly sealed off Zaza Pachulia at the rim. Pachulia does a decent job of still changing Rose’s attempt, but the creativity of Rose led him to switch hands and lay the ball up with his left hand on the right side of the basket. There’s nothing simple or easy about this move, but of course, Rose makes it look so.
