DeMarcus Cousins had yet another incredible outing on Friday night as he led his team to a much-needed win. The Sacramento Kings center put his team on his back scoring 37 points and grabbing 20 rebounds. The Kings were able to escape with a 116-110 win over the Denver Nuggets.
This has been a theme of the Kings’ season with Cousins willing the team to victory. This game was an especially important one with the Kings in a massive slide before the all-star break. With the team reeling and various reports about the state of the team’s head coach, the win was a huge one to get the team back on track.
The Kings are now 22-31 and facing an uphill battle to get to the playoffs, 4.5 games back of the eighth seed in the Western Conference. If they are to make a late push for tournament, they will need plenty more phenomenal performances from their star big-man. On Friday, they got just that.
