There’s not much to play for in Denver but the Nuggets can still do some fun things on the season like play spoiler to some teams on their playoff push.
In a game that really didn’t mean anything to either team, the Nuggets hosted the Dallas Mavericks, who are locked in to the 7 seed in the Western Conference. Mavs were playing to be ready for the playoffs, so a double overtime high-scoring affair is just what they needed to see if they were well rested.
The star of the game was Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari. Gallo dropped a career-high 47 points on the Mavs, shooting 15-23 from the field including 7-12 from three and 10-10 from the free throw line while he also grabbed 9 rebounds on the night.
Mavericks ended up getting what really matters, a win. Mavs beat the Nuggets 144-143.
