Unfortunately, Craig Sager’s leukemia recently returned forcing him to take a leave from his job with the NBA on TNT again. It may be some time before we see Sager on the sidelines of an NBA game again decked out in his remarkable suits but Kia reminds us all about Sager’s style and how it is matched by none.
In the ad for the 2016 Kia Sorento, Craig Sager used the car to quickly get ready for work. While Sager has been Superman off the court, going through all of the issues he has fought through, in this ad he really takes a page out of Clark Kent’s book. Much like how ‘The Daily Planet’ writer would use a telephone booth to change into Superman, Sager uses a Kia to change into his stylish self and the suits he wears, well. It’s just fantastic and so Sager.
Seeing Sager cracking jokes again is great to know that his spirits are high. The best part of the ad may be the his TNT colleague Kevin Harlan, who was so amazed with how Sager changed that he also undergoes a similar transformation thanks to the Kia. Harlan’s suit is also a very memorable one.
