Cole Aldrich is on the New York Knicks. He is their reserve center and he is a on a one year contract with the team, almost presumably not expected to return next season to the Knicks.
Aldrich is not a member of the Indiana Pacers though. Either he forgot about that or wanted to help the Knicks solidify their spot on top of the draft lottery after he mishandled the ball and made a shot on his own basket.
Officially, the points were given to the Pacers reserve big man Ian Mahinmi, based off the fact that Mahinmi was the closest player to the basket. Crashing the boards paid off here.
Aldrich finished the night 0-1 from the field, on the final box score. Technically though, he did make one shot.
