For the time fourth this season, Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry dropped 40+ points. He scored 40 on a night that saw him leave the first quarter with two early fouls and the Clippers led by as many as 23 points.
Curry dropped 40 on 11-22 shooting including going 6-14 from the three-point line and 12-12 from the free throw line. Curry also handed out four assists, swiped three steals but he grabbed 11 rebounds in the win to keep the Warriors undefeated on the season at a perfect 13-0, the fifth team to reach that mark.
So far this season, Stephen Curry has scored 444 points. It’s the most points scored to start the season through 13 games since Michael Jordan in 1989 when MJ scored 473 through 13 games. Curry also set NBA record with his fifth straight 30+ point game with at least five made three-pointers.
Not to be out done, Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul had a great night of his own. He started off hot in the first quarter scoring 18 points on 7-7 shooting, including 3-3 from three-point range with four assists. For the night, Paul scored 35 points on 13-22 shooting while also shooting 5-9 from the three-point range, shot 4-4 from the free throw line and he also handed out eight assists.
