Chris Paul is still pretty good. The Los Angeles Clippers point guard proved that once again with a spectacular game against the Sacramento Kings, leading his team to a blowout victory.
Paul showcased his full repertoire, scoring a season-high 40 points and adding 13 assists and 8 rebounds in only 36 minutes. The point guard shot a sizzling 13-20 from the field and 4-9 from three, combining volume with efficiency.
Paul’s phenomenal game put him in fairly rare company, with only 10 previous instances of similar numbers or better since the 1983-84 season. It was a clearly fantastic game for the all-star in leading his team to a victory. With Blake Griffin still out with a hand injury, the Clippers could use these performances to keep themselves on track for a top four seed.
The Clippers are now 37-20, sitting at 3.5 games behind the third place Oklahoma City Thunder.
