Not much has gone right for the Brooklyn Nets this season. The team has lost games at an incredibly high rate and will not have a first round draft pick to show for it. As a result of the draft pick situation, the Nets should and will continue to attempt to win games. That has not been an easy task for the talent-deficient team.
On Friday, however, the Nets were able to do just that, courtesy of center Brook Lopez. The team won their game against the Denver Nuggets on a last second tip-in from their big-man. The center contributed 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists throughout the night. Lopez, who has finally been mostly healthy this season, has played well all year in carrying the team. While it has not always led to positive results, it has not been through a fault of Lopez.
The Nets will hope to win some games before the end of the season in order to have something to build off of going into the offseason. Brook Lopez was able to provide one such win on Friday.
