In the 92-83 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, Wizards guard Bradley Beal threw down this insane dunk with three defenders looming around him. He didn’t necessarily dunk over anybody, but any of the three defenders could have come in and contested the shot. What makes the dunk significant is how Beal still has the confidence to go up for the slam even with all of his injury history.
With a short bench, Beal stepped up and scored 20 points on 10/21 shooting, rebounded the ball 5 times, dished out 2 dimes, and got a steal. The 10/21 shooting performance also includes an 0/6 performance from three-point range. Usually Beal never gets that cold, and his cold streak should end from three should end in the very near future.
Beal and Wall were making connections all night to each other, and were the keys in bringing the Wizards to within a game of Toronto for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. With 5 games left in the schedule, there is still a very likely chance for the Wizards to pass the Raptors, and gain home court advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
