Anthony Davis. There’s not enough adjectives in the dictionary when you try to talk about his game. Almost nearly as indescribable is his importance to the New Orleans Pelicans who are fighting for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. In the video above he caught an alley-oop pass and threw down an impressive 2-hand slam for the Pelicans.
Last night’s game was very pivotal for the Pelicans as they went against the Denver Nuggets who have performed well as of late under new interim head coach Melvin Hunt.
The Nuggets escaped with a double overtime 118-111 win but not before Davis could post an incredible statline. Davis finished the night with 36 points, 14 rebounds, 9 blocks and a career-high 7 assists. He almost posted a quadruple-double which hasn’t been done since ‘The Admiral’, David Robinson did it in 1994. Davis and Robinson are the only 2 players to record at least 30 points, 10 rebounds, 8 blocks and 7 assists in a game.
Incredible line for Davis as he continued to bolster his case for the MVP despite the play of guys like Stephen Curry, James Harden and Russell Westbrook.
Enjoy Davis’ great night below.
