The Minnesota Timberwolves found themselves a star in the making when they traded for Andrew Wiggins last season. After his early struggles this year, the former number one overall pick once again showed his potential. In Saturday’s 102-93 overtime win in Chicago, the young star put up a game high 31 points on 11-27 shooting (including 4-5 from three) while playing a team-high 41 minutes. Among those baskets was a filthy spin and dunk on noted defender Taj Gibson.
Wiggins has already climbed high in Timberwolves’ folklore, firmly establishing himself as one of the best young players in franchise history:
Most 30-point games, Timberwolves players 20 or younger:
Stephon Marbury: 6
Andrew Wiggins: 5 (incl. Saturday)
Kevin Garnett: 4

The Wolves have a bright future, resting on the back of Wiggins and fellow, young stand-out Karl-Anthony Towns.
