You don’t jump with Andrew Wiggins, especially if you’re Omer Asik.
Andrew Wiggins, the projected Rookie of the Year, isn’t just filling out into his body, he’s becoming more comfortable taking contact in the air. Pelicans big man Omer Asik learned this first-hand as Wiggins put in a late candidate for dunk of the year.
Wiggins slipped a screen and had way too much room in front of him to take a dribble and gather. Asik tries to meet Wiggins in the air and prevent his finish, but has nothing for the jumping ability and reach of Wiggins, who finishes in spite of Asik.
Don’t think Wiggins is the next upcoming NBA superstar? Plays like this say otherwise.
