Former Sixers superstar Allen Iverson made an emotional appearance at Philadelphia’s game against the Celtics yesterday. A.I. presented the game ball to referee Joey Crawford, and later told ESPN reporter Lisa Salters that he still had NBA dreams, although he had come to grips that a return may never happen.
“I wanna play basketball so bad. The way it is right now, I’ve accepted the fact [the NBA] may not happen, but I still want to play basketball. If I can get an opportunity to where it’s gonna make me happy at the end of my career, I’ll take that opportunity,” the beloved Philly icon said.
Reebok are set to re-release Iverson’s first signature shoe, ‘The Question’, in a limited run on Friday.
