The Boondocks creator Aaron McGruder is back with his new project ‘Black Jesus.’ The show is a live-action scripted comedy series on Adult Swim. The man portraying Black Jesus is Gerald “Slink” Johnson and he journeys through Compton, CA to spread happiness to the people in the neighborhood with his band of followers.

Black Jesus premieres Thursday, August 7th at 11 p.m. on Adult Swim.
