Aaron White only scored 2 points in a 94-74 blowout loss to the D-League Select team in the Wizards second Summer League game, but was able to finish the game on a positive note. Instead of taking a contested layup where he would have either been blocked or forced into a tough shot, he dumped the ball down to Shawn Jones for an easy dunk over Taylor Griffin.

It’s going to be even tougher for White to make the Washington roster than most expected due to him only averaging 3 points per game so far in the first two Summer League Games. The Wizards need production off the bench, not just a hustle player, so unless White takes on a huge scoring role in the game against Dallas, he is basically already headed overseas.
Even though Summer League has been a bit of a struggle, White has proven he is going to hustle on every single play. That’s going to be a positive once he is able to make the Washington roster, but that time will more likely now than ever have to wait until a time past this season.
