Giannis Antetokounpo is a rare type of athlete. He is a big man that has the athleticism of a small forward and handles the ball like a guard. He can also block shots due to his height of 6″11 and his long arms. The young forward truly does it all, and he is a freak of nature that has been dubbed the “Greek Freak.”
Giannis’s older brother, Thanasis Antetokounmpo, currently plays in the D-League for the Westchester Knicks. He is also very lengthy like his younger brother. Their other brother though, Kostas Antetokounmpo, already looks like he will be the next “Greek Freak.” He is 6″7, very long like Giannis, 16 years old, and he graduates high school in 2016. He towers over his opponents, but he doesn’t play down low, Kostas plays on the perimeter. He hits jumpers and dribbles the ball, often driving by his opponents after giving them a fancy crossover move. He uses his height very well though as he blocks shots with ease and he throws down dunks on the receiving end of alley-oops. Kostas is currently looking at Florida State, Marquette, and Saint Louis for college.
The Antetokounmpo family is full of tall and lengthy kids, and Kostas should be the next chapter in the family of “Greek Freaks.”
