USC star cornerback Adoree’ Jackson is looking to become a star in two different sports. He will be taking part in the U.S. Olympic Trials for the long jump this weekend. He competed in the long jump trials for the NCAA Championship last June and earned a shot to qualify for the Olympic Team. Even though Jackson failed to qualify this year, his performance last year gave him a one year time frame to qualify.
This year’s U.S. Olympic Trials will be taking place over the weekend in Eugene, Oregon. Jackson will go to the qualifier on Saturday and possibly the finals on Sunday. To make the Olympic team, Jackson will have to break his personal best and jump 26 feet and 8 4/5 inches. In addition to that, he will also have to place in the top three.
Adoree’ Jackson is thought to be one of the best cornerbacks in the 2017 NFL Draft class. Due to his supreme speed and athleticism, he is a name that scouts should look out for this year. The fact that he is trying out for the OIympics will probably make him that much more appealing.
