Heartbreak came early as Portugal’s Nani scores via a mental lapse by USA’s defense. However, that early goal provided the ignition USA needed. The Americans pushed and pushed the whole first and second half, and that proved to wear down the Portugal back-four. Let’s just get to the highlights because I’m running on adrenaline at the moment.
A great match deserved to end in a draw, although, I would have loved to see USA advance and not have to beat or draw with Germany.
