So we are now awaiting game 6 of the NBA Finals and possibly the last game of the season as the Golden State Warriors go home to see if they can finish off the Cleveland Cavaliers and forever put their historic season in stone.
But before Game 5 in Cleveland social media went on their flash mob of destroying something with a tsunami of memes. The subject this time was the introduction of a new Curry 2 by Under Armour. A low version of the shoe named “Chef”. An all white design. At first sight it looks like any other Curry shoe, but the social media flash mob quickly made a joke of it.

It was an absolute destruction, the memes were coming thick and fast. After the Warriors Game 6 win Stephen Curry backed up his product.

Under Armour responded very quickly however, by re-signing their chief designer Dave Dumbrow who was about to head to Nike according to Inc.com.
Dave Dombrow, former Under Armour Senior Vice President, Creative Footwear and Accessories, will return to the brand as Chief Design Officer, beginning August 1, 2016. In his newly created role as Chief Design Officer, Dombrow will guide the design of Under Armour’s entire collection of footwear, apparel and accessories.
“In his time at Under Armour, Dave played an instrumental role in creating innovative and cutting-edge footwear with international acclaim,” said Under Armour founding partner, Kip Fulks. “As Under Armour continues to evolve the key pillars of innovation and design while expanding global growth in all categories, Dave’s unique abilities to challenge the status quo and to anticipate the needs of the future athlete are exactly what we need to further our success.“
UA took a major loss, not in money but social credibility. You can’t be pumping out all these colourways so fast. I swear everyday I see a new Curry colourway that’s about to drop. It’s understandable considering Stephen Curry is their Golden boy but let’s chill a bit and stop making colorways that are more fit for Dell Curry instead of Stephen Curry.
