The UCLA Bruins will not take the court for the foreseeable future due to COVID-19. Within the last week, the school’s men’s and women’s basketball teams have canceled games against the Ohio State University Buckeyes, University of North Carolina Tar Heels, California Polytechnic State University Mustangs, Texas Southern University Tigers and Alabama State Hornets. Similar issues have emerged at the pro level. NBA stars like Russell Westbrook, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have all entered the league’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols As a result, the NBA plans to expand rosters and strengthen health and safety protocols for the foreseeable future.
