Duke freshman point guard Tyus Jones has joined teammates Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow in declaring for the NBA draft. I’d love to say this is a shocker but, anyone with common sense knew all of them were leaving after winning it all.
“I am faced with the tough decision of returning to a place I love or pursuing my next dream,” Jones stated. “With the support and guidance of my family, my coaches, my teammates, and Duke University, I have decided to start my professional career. Even though I am entering the NBA Draft, I will forever be a Duke Blue Devil.”
The Apple Valley, Minn. native averaged a solid 11.8 points, 5.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals a game. In addition, we can’t forget the HUGE three he made during the championship game against the Wisconsin Badgers.
