This summer, Tyson Chandler, got traded from the New York Knicks back to his championship days with the Dallas Mavericks, for Jose Calderon and a couple picks. Knicks lost a post defender, who is trouble in the pick & roll game.
After the Mavericks tore the Knicks apart on Tuesday 107-87, Tyson Chandler told ESPN:
“I do because he’s a competitor,” said Chandler, who received a warm ovation from the crowd in his return to Madison Square Garden and had eight points and 14 rebounds in the win. “I laced them up and went to battle with him for the last three years and know what kind of competitor he is.
“I know he wants to win, and I know he’s going to take a lot of this heat. And it’s unfortunate because he’s a hell of a player in our league. It’s just unfortunate.”
Unfortunately, the Knicks have started an awful 5-22 start, and Tyson Chandler escaped that luckily. Now he is with the Dallas Mavericks, who are trying to keep competitive in the tough western conference. What are the Knicks doing? Trying to salvage wins, and get relevant in the Eastern Conference.
