The Cleveland Cavaliers took a risk in firing their coach mid-season and of course they don’t lose a step. In fact, they’re even better than before. Isn’t that fun for the rest us fans of the Eastern Conference.
Anyways. A little story that slipped through the cracks, due to LeBron doing some “Coach Killing”, was the coaches. Tyronn Lue and David Blatt. Were they cool during all the hate Blatt was getting? Are they cool now? Lue has talked about that very subject. Apparently they’re all good.
“Me and Blatt are cool,” Lue said to Cleveland.com. “We’ve spoken a few times since [he was let go]. I texted him a few days ago, so it’s not what people want to think. To say I was doing things behind the scenes to get this job is crazy. This job? A team that’s in first place? Come on.
“As long as Coach Blatt supports me, that’s all that matters.”
“Look, they ridiculed Jesus Christ, so I’m certainly no exception,” Lue told Cleveland.com. “I don’t care what’s being said. I know how loyal I was to Coach Blatt, and the people that know me understand that. I have no control over what people think. I have a job to do and I’m going to do my best.“
Hold up. Stop, stop right there. I see you Tyronn.
You jacked that “Ridiculed Jesus” quote from Doc Rivers. I see you with that.
But with that third quote, has anyone been focusing on Lue at all? Has anybody been questioning Tyronn Lue’s loyalty? Maybe, but he’s talking about it as if he was in the eye of the storm like LeBron James was.
