Great, just great. So the Miami Heat are on a 4 game win streak which has created some separation between them and a few teams that are a couple of games out of the Playoff picture. They have Stoudemire, Dragic and McRoberts back and the Heat are looking good.
And then, story of their season, they take a step back. Tyler Johnson, who has been a nice little gem for the Heat, is going to be out for 2 months. Just dandy.
Miami Heat guard Tyler Johnson will undergo surgery on his left shoulder this week and will likely miss more than two months, league sources told The Vertical.
Johnson’s final timetable to return will be set after surgery.Johnson visited an orthopedic surgeon on Sunday, when it was determined he would undergo surgery. He strained the shoulder in mid-December and has tried to play through the injury.
The Heat are the equivalent of an NBA2K MyPlayer when you give him the ‘athletic’ type. Can dunk, they’re fast but can’t shoot to save their life. It’s clear the Heat need shooting and Johnson isn’t a shooter but he has been critical for the Heat’s bench and will be missed, Josh Richardson and maybe Gerald Green will probably have more of a workload in the coming months.
