Collab albums are rare in the world of R&B and Pop, but they’re always welcome. In recent years, Jeremih has teamed up with Ty Dolla $ign for MihTy and Bruno Mars is working with Anderson .Paak on Silk Sonic. This month, Ty Dolla $ign is stepping back into the world of collab albums to deliver Cheers To The Best Memories with dvsn.
Ty Dolla $ign and dvsn first delivered “I Believed It” with Mac Miller back in July. From the track’s opening moments, it was clear that the group had built incredible chemistry. Backed by Nineteen85’s production, Daniel Daley and Ty Dolla $ign’s voices seamlessly harmonized throughout the track.
“I put my foot on the gas as soon as I heard the news/They say that I’m creepin’ on you, told you that shit ain’t true/Where is same chick been textin’ me and facetimin’?” the first verse begins.
Weeks after the first single debuted, the group returned with the “Memories.” Matching the replay value of the first track, “Memories” samples the 1992 classic, “Freak Me” by Silk.
“We gon’ need a room/A room to make som? memories/In the bed/Givin’ you the best of me when you sexin’ me,” Ty Dolla $ign sings.
Now, the time has come for Daniel Daley, Nineteen85 and Ty Dolla $ign to release the final product with features from Mac Miller, YG and Rauw Alejandro. Check out the full project below.
