It is being reported by the NY Daily News, that late great, Tupac Shakur’s mother Afeni Shakur has passed away. As of right now there is no cause of death known for Ms Afeni Shakur, real name Alice Faye Williams but as this story develops we will keep you guys updated. With giving birth to Tupac in 1971, Afeni brought into this world arguably one of the greatest rappers ever and with losing him at such a young age, the former Black Panther member did her best at keeping his legacy alive. Taking over his estate after his 1996 murder, it is reported that she earned $900,000 a year and back in 2014 she co-produced a jukebox musical titled ‘Holla If You Hear Me’ which was derived from Tupac’s music.
This news of Afeni Shakur’s passing is shocking as it comes just days after the announcement of ‘All Eyez On Me‘, Tupac’s Biopic, going into post-production stages.
