Prezidential Tripz Take Us On A Journey With ‘No Luggage’
The wait is over, ‘No Luggage’ is finally here. Tripz long awaited EP is officially available for streaming as well as download.
This has been a grueling process for the upcoming Bronx rapper as overcoming a couple obstacles to get to this point has been tough but the outcome has been well worth it.
Prior to the release of this EP, Tripz dropped the visual for his lead record off the tape. ‘Business As Usual’
Pressing play on this EP, we get taken on a trip with just a passport, no idea of where we are going but with ‘No Luggage’ the destination seems promising and sure keeps the listening session worth wild.
Off rip, the hunger and aggression can be heard in Tripz voice with the first four tracks. The ‘Intro’ set the tone for what to expect getting straight to the point.
‘When the stakes (steaks) got high/these chickens got low on me’…
‘That model broad I had to EX that….’
Chill, chill, chill….wait for it… We’ll get to that topic, hahaha.
‘Hoe Ass Niggas’ was the first record I instantly played back and almost contemplated giving it the “car test” right away. The beat, aggressive lyrics and energy gives the record that complete package.
‘Bankrupt’ was the same story, I had to let Tripz know this was that record to be played in the club. I can just imagine the damage it will do. Definitely would love to see a video for this.
One thing in life, we tend to only see things from the outside looking in. Tripz gives us a peek behind the curtain on ‘Behind The Scenes’. This record sheds light on his previous relationship with a video vixen we’ve seen on the reality show Love & Hip Hop New York. This is one of those records where the gloves come off and everything is put on the table, raw & uncut. All luggage was left behind once this relationship ended.
Tripz then talks to the ladies on ‘F*cking Song’.
Showing his versatility and that he can gradually shift momentum through this EP without breaking a sweat is note worthy. Especially for an artist trying to keep all listeners entertained.
Transitioning into the lead single off the EP you learn one obvious lesson, it’s never personal, it’s ‘Business as Usual’. The only track to have a video thus far, lyrically and most relatable as I stated before, is my favorite record off the tape. Well I guess it would depend on what mood I am in then of course you can switch it up.
That’s what I like about ‘No Luggage’ so much thus far, you get a dose of everything you could possible like within a short amount of records.
Did I mention, I made the album? Nah? well on ‘Desktop Freestyle‘, a record I was surprised to see make the cut, Tripz just goes off. He had to get a few things off his chest, something he does well. Just listen and you’ll catch on, oh yeah..
‘My Nigga Delly Gon Tweet A Bunch Of Fire For This’…
I’m fake famous now, don’t ask for my autograph when you see me… LOL.
To close out the album we get ‘Told You So’ and if you ask me it’s a record blended with the two different tones we get from Tripz throughout the project. The aggressive uptempo style with a mix of the emo, wearing his heart on his sleeve style, a deadly combination that led to a great overall piece of work.
