Veteran rapper Trina announces her long awaited album The One drops June 2019.
As women rappers continue to grow in size and force, Trina has nonetheless asserted herself rightfully as a living legend lending support and encouragement to her predecessors. Showing love to rising acts such as Megan Thee Stallion and City Girls, Trina’s influence as the “Baddest Bitch” can never be denied.
The One, debuting officially June 21 2019 is Trina’s sixth studio album. Released under her imprint Rockstarr Music Group, the Miami rapper confirms an anticipated feature from Lil Wayne an hints to features from Nicki Minaj, Lightskin Keisha and more. The long awaited album faced many set backs, originally set to debut September 2017.
Years in the making, The One represents “that she’s been there, done that, and she’s still standing” Trina says in an interview with HuffPost.
The tracklist features some Trina song titles fans have heard before. “Fuck Boy” a 2015 anti-trash anthem looks to get a 2019 remix. Her 2017 release If It Ain’t Me featuring K Michelle also appears to be on The One.
