The Duke Blue Devils have landed 2021 five-star shooting guard Trevor Keels. He selected the Blue Devils over the Villanova Wildcats, Virginia Cavaliers, and Kentucky Wildcats. This is a great addition for the Blue Devils who already have a loaded 2021 recruiting class. Keels will be joining 7th ranked recruit and small forward AJ Griffin along with third-ranked recruit and power forward Paolo Banchero. Duke also could manage to keep Keels for a couple of years because he is not an obvious “one and done” prospect.
Five-star guard Trevor Keels has committed to Duke.
Keels to @PaulBiancardi: “Me and Coach K have a great relationship. He was always the same during the process. Straightforward guy. He told me what I needed to hear.”
Blue Devils now have three five-star commitments in 2021.

The Blue Devils had a hard year during the 2020 COVID-19 season, but adding three five-star recruits should help bolster their team next year. It is currently unclear who will stay and who will go on the Duke roster. There is still some time before we know what the 2021 Duke roster will exactly look like. Trevor Keels is a talented guard and should play for the Blue Devils immediately. Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski will be looking for a much better performance from himself and his team this upcoming season. The Blue Devils did not make the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
Keels is a talented guard listed at 6’5″ and 210 pounds with a skill set that should help him in college. The Virginia native will be moving down one state to play for a top NCAA program. His stay could be only a year or two, but he should make an impact on college basketball. This fall he will be wearing dark blue and playing basketball with the best college athletes in the world.
