March is the time of the year for the big tournament, and it is also the season for big decisions. Florida Gator Tre Mann declares for the 2021 NBA Draft a few days after their season came to an end. He will hire an agent which will make the sophomore forgo his college eligibility. Mann was a leader on this season’s Gator squad that made the NCAA tournament and dealt with many struggles this season.

Mann was a five-star prospect coming out of high school and grew a lot as a player in his time as a Gator. His production and efficiency rose in every statistical category across the board. As a freshman, he averaged 5.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, and less than an assist per game. He also shot a poor 65.5% from the free-throw line. This season he had averages of 16, 5.6, and 3.5 in those same categories as well as 83.1% from the line.
As a 40% shooter from three, Mann has the skillset it will take to succeed at the next level. He showed flashes of playmaking ability, with a few games of 6 assists or more this season. In a couple of contests, he was able to pull down double-digit rebounds. On the defensive side of the ball, he nabs about 1.5 steals a game and guards the perimeter well.
Mann has grown in college and hopes to show off his size and length to NBA scouts. There will be plenty of teams interested in drafting him. His game is NBA ready and he should adapt well to the next level.
