On August 28, 2018, Tre Mann decided he wanted to stay near his hometown as he declared to become a Florida Gator moving on in his collegiate basketball career.
Though many other colleges such as North Carolina and Tennessee wanted Mann to be their “Man,” The 6’3 point guard took to Twitter to tell everyone he wanted to become a Gator.
“HOMETOWN HERO” I’m 100% committed to The University of Florida ? GO GATORS #GatorNation s/o @TiptonEdits for the edit ?? pic.twitter.com/wMVUb9Jszr

Mann is listed as a top 3 point guard on 247Sports list of top point guards from the class of 2019.
Playing near his hometown of The Villages, Florida, Mann looks to be the “Hometown Hero” that will light a spark into this Gators team. After a solid season from Florida, finishing 3rd in the SEC with a record of 21-13, Mann looks to help this Gators Squad.
Even though he will be new to the team, Mann is a very good leader and will gain the respect he needs from the other players to help them succeed. His length also brings a good presence on the defensive end that will help contain opposing threats he is guarding.
The Five-Star Flordia Star will now have an added weight on his shoulders as he looks to lead his home-state college to many victories.
