One of the most prominent hip-hop artists in the music industry, rapper Travis Scott has seen his popularity grow exponentially over the past couple of years.
Scott is not only one of the most popular rappers here in the United States, but his emerging global fanbase has opened his career up to new opportunities. An example will be the upcoming 2018 NBA Awards show on TNT, where the Houston rapper will perform according to the network’s Twitter account.

According to the tweet, it appears in addition to other tracks, Travis Scott will perform one of his more well-known songs to date: Goosebumps featuring the Grammy-award winning Kendrick Lamar. The track comes off of Scott’s album “The Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight” which was released nearly two years ago in late 2016.
Scott is known for being a diehard Houston Rockets fan and was seen sitting courtside during multiple contests this season. He was especially prevalent during the Rockets hard-fought Western Conference Finals series against the Golden State Warriors, and is a close friend of superstar guard James Harden.

Of course, Harden is the leading candidate to earn the biggest honor of the night: the 2018 NBA MVP award. Harden pieced together a historic offensive season and looks like an almost lock to win his first MVP, which will be a special honor to receive in front of his friend when the awards take place June 25th at 9 PM.
