Donald Glover and Rihanna in a movie sounds too good to be true, but it isn’t. It was reported earlier in the summer that the two RnB artists will star in a film that was written by Glover and directed by his ‘Atlanta’ teammate Hiro Murai. Murai has been heavily involved in Glover’s acting career, as well as his music. He directed his politically fueled music video ‘This Is America’ and also directed multiple episodes of ‘Atlanta’ including the infamous Teddy Perkins episode.
Now, the two have teamed up to bring to you ‘Guava Island’ and the film will also include Rihanna. There is literally no other information other than this and a couple of pictures that were released in the summer.
But now, we get our first look at a trailer. When at the PHAROS film festival in New Zealand, Glover let the crowd have a sneak-peak at his upcoming movie and a fan got it on video:

This won’t be Rihanna’s first stint on the big screen. She debut as the nerdy tech wizard in the Ocean’s 8 remake and now in ‘Guava Island’. All we can do at this point is hope for more information and a release date.
