Tracy McGrady seemed to have got his foot in the door. I wonder if he only accepted to participate in the All-Star festivities just so he could get his foot in ESPN’s door.
Similar to how people only go to the Cannes Film Festival for business, it may look like a pleasure thing, oh no, pure business behind the doors. Maybe TMac had that mentality when going through ASW. Think he was there just to air ball during the Celebrity Game? Think he was there just to judge the greatest Dunk Contest in NBA History? Apparently not. It’s not a coincidence that he’s been named an ESPN NBA analyst today.
McGrady will appear on ”The Jump,” the afternoon telecast hosted by Rachel Nichols that debuts Thursday. The network says McGrady will also contribute analysis to news and information programming, including ”SportsCenter.”
Or maybe TMac was greasing the wheels before the All-Star Weekend? Maybe he picked up the phone as soon as Rachel Nichols announced that she was coming back to the’ Worldwide Leader’?
I’m not being negative here by the way, I applaud this, go TMac! He can definitely do this and I would definitely watch.
