Tory Lanez is stepping away from Instagram for a moment and taking his talents over to YouTube. To kick off the weekend, the Toronto native is teaming up with YouTube Music to host a remote concert during the COVID-19 pandemic. Adding on to the unique fan experience, the concert will act as a fundraiser for charities looking to aid those impacted by the pandemic.
“To all my artist friends, I know this pandemic is probably messing up your show money and the experience for your fans. As you all know, I have always been an innovator. Tomorrow, YouTube and I are getting together to create a brand new technology that will help air live shows from home, helps fans interact with their favorite artists first hand, request their favorite songs, change the lighting, personalize how they want the concert to feel and look, etc,” he wrote on Instagram.
This is the latest victory for the award winning artist over the last few weeks. In just under two months, he’s released a new album and guided the success of Quarantine Radio. Moving forward, he has plans to release another new project in the near future. Tonight, check out his live YouTube concert at 7 p.m.
