As music lovers are well aware of, 2015 has brought forth a commendable amount of new music from our favorite artists across various genres. With Hip-Hop showing significant prominence from what seems to be almost every rapper imaginable releasing bodies of work, with merely days left in 2015, it looks like people are still looking to get their projects off the ground before 2016 rings in. Adding to that list is none other than Toronto’s own, Tory Lanez. Finding breakthrough success with his Brownstone-sampled single, ‘Say It,’ and lending his voice to Meek Mill’s ‘Lord Knows,’ fans of the rapper/singer had easily been anticipating new work of his own. Releasing a few records since then, merely days ago, Tory announced that he would be releasing two mixtapes on Christmas day. First up, we have the Dj Drama-assisted, The New Toronto. Home to knocking production and a prominently rapping Tory Lanez, The New Toronto serves as the Ying to his second mixtape’s Yang. Setting a new bar for himself as to what will follow in 2016, the sky is the limit when it comes to just what Mr. Lanez is capable of with his music.
