Not to mention, he delivered a strong performance on The New Toronto 3 and is currently on the #2 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Unfortunately, it looks like his momentum is coming to a screeching halt because of an incident he was involved in this past Sunday.
Over the weekend, the Toronto native visited Kylie Jenner along with Meg Thee Stallion. While there, the three socialites hopped on Instagram Live and appeared to be having a good time. The events that took place after the gathering are little hazy. Multiple reports allege that Meg Thee Stallion and a friend were in a car with Tory Lanez. As the Houston rapper exited the car, she was shot in the foot.
Tory has since been charged with possessing a firearm. New developments point out that the best-selling artist was let out of custody on $35,000 bond. He is now expected to appear in court on October 13. However, it is unclear if he will face further charges for allegedly shooting the rising star as she exited the car.
