According to the The Toronto Sun the city of Toronto will get the honours of hosting the 2016 All Star Weekend. Here’s a quote from the Toronto Sun with a bit more explanation…
An official announcement is expected within the next week that will reveal further details of how one of the sport’s biggest weekends will tie in to the Toronto Raptors’ 20th-anniversary season.
This will be the first All Star Weekend held outside the United States.
I think that’ll be good timing to host the crown jewel of the NBA season, think about it, if Toronto keep theirs assets (DeRozan, Rudy etc.) they’ll probably be in the playoff hunt by then and might raise their popularity.
