Top NFL Matchups

NFL OTAs are just two weeks away, which means football season is right around the corner. OTAs are an opportunity for rookies and veterans to practice together for the first time. This infusion of new talent only builds excitement towards the regular season. Luckily for fans, the NFL Schedule for the 2016-17 season has been released, so top games have been identified and fans are working towards securing tickets. During the regular season, ticket prices tend to fluctuate since each team only has eight home games, so opportunities to see your favorite team are limited. Playoff games tend to command the highest prices, but premium match-ups during the regular season drive demand on the secondary ticket market. Some of the premium regular season match-ups are presented below. All get-in ticket prices are courtesy of TiqIQ.

9/18/2016 Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams | Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum | Get-in: $550

The Los Angeles Rams will play their first home game on Sunday, September 18th against the Seattle Seahawks. Over the last two seasons, the Rams are 2-0 at home against Seattle, so fans are hoping for another win over their bitter NFC West rival. Fans should act quickly if they want to secure tickets for this match-up. On TiqIQ, Seahawks vs. Rams tickets start at $550, which is the highest get-in ticket price this season.

11/13/2016 Dallas Cowboys at Pittsburgh Steelers | Heinz Field | Get-in: $390

While most of these match-ups feature recent Super Bowl opponents, the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers have a storied rivalry that dates back to the 1950s. This rivalry have been fairly even; Dallas has won 15 of 28 regular season meetings against Pittsburgh, but the Steelers have won two of their three Super Bowl meetings against Dallas. Based on history alone, ticket prices for this match-up exceed all other regular season games. Cowboys vs. Steelers tickets start at $390, which is Pittsburgh’s highest get-in ticket price at home this season.

11/13/2016 Seattle Seahawks at New England Patriots | Gillette Stadium | Get-in: $345

Another Super Bowl rematch is scheduled for this season. The Seattle Seahawks will travel to Gillette Stadium to face the New England Patriots in a Super Bowl 49 rematch. Super Bowl 49 was arguably one of the most entertaining games in recent memory, so expect an emotional battle between these two teams. Plus, both teams still possess a lot of the same faces, so expect some heated exchanges during the game. Seahawks vs. Patriots tickets start at $345, which is New England’s most expensive get-in ticket price at home this season.

9/18/2016 Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings | US Bank Stadium | Get-in: $318

The Minnesota Vikings will open U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, September 18th against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. After last season’s brutal home playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks, expect the fans to show up in full force for this NFC North showdown.
