The Dallas Cowboys hopes of making a playoff run might be all but over now only two games into Tony Romo’s return. On Thanksgiving, the Cowboys hosted the undefeated Carolina Panthers and the game quickly went from bad to worse.
The Panther trounced the Cowboys, 33-14 and not only did they lose the game, they also lost their starting quarterback for the remainder of the season.
Following from Todd Archer of ESPN.
While X-rays on Romo’s reinjured left collarbone were inconclusive Thursday and the Cowboys have planned more tests for Friday, the quarterback is “done for the season,” a source close to Romo told ESPN’s Ed Werder.
Romo will have a CT scan Friday after he was forced from Thursday’s 33-14 loss to the Carolina Panthers on the final play of the third quarter.
Earlier this season, Romo also suffered a broken clavicle and missed a big chunk of time and he also missed the final 10 games of the 2010 season when he broke the same collarbone in a loss to the New York Giants.
The Cowboys now sit at 3-8 and their season has been filled with drama and injuries to big stars. It might be time for the Cowboys to chalk this season up as a loss and prepare for 2016.
