Tony Parker Signs Extension With Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs announced today that point guard Tony Parker has signed a multi-year contract extension. The terms of the contract have yet to be announced.
Since being drafted 28th overall by the Spurs in 2001, Parker has spent his entire NBA tenure in San Antonio, and it appears he will finish there. He has helped San Antonio win four NBA titles. Among active players, only Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant have appeared in more postseason games than Parker.
Parker averaged 16.7 points and 5.7 assists per game in the 2013-14 season. He led the Spurs in scoring for the fourth consecutive season.
Parker, 32, is the Spurs all-time leader in assists and still the spear head of their offensive attack as a nifty scorer and playmaker.
