After being waived by the New Orleans Pelicans earlier this summer, it appears that Toney Douglas will look to once again fight for a spot on an NBA roster.
Douglas will be joining the Indiana Pacers after working out with them today. He will be joining his seventh different team since being drafted with the 27th overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Recently waived by the Pelicans, guard Toney Douglas will sign a deal with the Pacers, I've been told. Already there working out.

The road for Douglas might be tough, considering the Pacers roster is already fully guaranteed.

As @JeffZillgitt notes Toney Douglas to IND. Will be a tough uphill battle with 15 guaranteed contracts already.

It’s hard to see where Douglas would fit on this Pacers team. He was brought on to the Pelicans due to their lack of backcourt depth once Tyreke Evans, Jrue Holiday and Eric Gordon started to battle injuries. They simply needed a player to handle the ball.
Bringing Douglas onto the roster might be a move to set Douglas up to fail. The team already has six guards on the roster that can handle the ball, shoot and get to the basket. Where Toney Douglas fits on this team is definitely unclear but giving him a look might be beneficial. Especially if there is an injury or if they want their second round pick, Joseph Young, to spend a year in the D-League.
