And we’re off! The first bout on the highly anticipated Jake Paul-Tyron Woodley card is in the books and it didn’t necessarily please the fans. Despite having a significant weight, height and reach advantage, Tommy Fury struggled to put Anthony Taylor out within four rounds. In fact, he didn’t even land a knockdown. With that said, he was able to wear Taylor down, control the pace and beat Taylor handily.
With this loss, Taylor falls to 0-2 in his second boxing debut. Meanwhile, Fury is using this less than stellar performance to campaign for a fight gainst Jake Paul. While he did not necessarily build anticipation for a showdown with Paul, he does hold a 7-0 record and possess a massive social presence. Not to mention, he is the younger brother of heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury.
Before a fight with Tommy Fury and Jake Paul can take place, Paul will have to get by Tyron Woodley in the main event. The two will share the ring later tonight in Cleveland, Ohio.
