A release date for Tom Hardy’s upcoming thriller Child 44 has been set.
Lionsgate will release he film on April 17, 2015.
The movie is based on Tom Rob Smith’s award-winning 2008 novel set in Stalinist Russia.
It focuses on a member of the secret police who is framed for treason and exiled to a distant land, where he stumbles upon a string of child murders and sets about tracking down the killer.
Child 44 also stars Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnamn, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke and Vincent Cassel.
Daniel Espinose serves as the director while Ridly Scott, Michael Schaefer and Greg Shapiro will produce.
