Tom Hardy will star in Kathryn Bigelow’s upcoming The True American.
Set in the days following 9/11, the film will center around self-styled American Terrorsit, Mark Stroman and one of his victims.
Bangladesh Air Force veteran and Dallas convenience store employee Raisuddin Bhuiyan survived a shot to the head, but as the film progresses it is revealed that the pair are linked by further terrible events.
The film will be produced by Annapurna Pictures and executive produced by Matthew Budman.
Hardy can currently be seen in Locke and will be starring the upcoming Rocketman, Mad Max: Fury Road, London Road, Child 44 and The Drop.
The True American is Bigelow’s first since 2012’s Zero Dark Thirty.
