Tom Hardy from such films as The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, The Drop Off, and Bronson, notably, spilled the beans in a recent interview with Esquire on the longevity of his role as Max Rockatansky. Hardy admits this is one of his more challenging roles — he estimates his character has between four and 20 lines in the whole film. “I’ve never been more excited and out of my comfort zone.” After screening the film Hardy states, “fucking unbelievable.”
However, the British actor says the proceeding films are based on critical reception and sales, ultimately.
“Everything’s based on figures and how things are perceived. Inevitably it’s a business.”
Mad Max: Fury Road is in the theaters May 16th.
