Tom Brady is celebrating his 5th Super Bowl championship which is the most ever for any quarterback. Peyton Manning retired after winning the Super Bowl last year so maybe it was possible that Brady would follow suit. However, that is not the case as Tom Brady has made it clear that he plans on playing into next year.
“If it was up to my wife she would have me retire today,” Brady said. “She told me that last night three times. And I said, ‘Too bad, babe, I’m having too much fun right now.’ You know, I feel like I can still do it and if you love what you do and you’re capable of doing it then, I mean I’d be so bored if I wasn’t going out there, knowing that I could still do it. So I’m going to work hard to be ready to go and I still plan on playing for a long time.”
Tom Brady’s current contract runs through the 2019 season so that part of his future is resolved. At this point, it’s hard to argue with Tom here. He is coming off a flawless statistical season and still is playing at an ultra high level.
