TOKiMONSTA is getting the weekend started by releasing a new track called “Say Yes” with VanJess. This record marks her first true foray into dance music while providing an uplifting message about finding love during a tough time.
“The original ‘Say Yes’ was a song that encompassed the deeper meanings of openness and love,” she told Pitchfork about her new record.
“Though the pandemic has been challenging, I felt inspired to tap into that introspection and reinterpret this song with the help of the incredible VanJess. It’s my first real dance record and I’m excited to share it with the world.”
In addition to releasing new music, TOKiMONSTA has revealed that she is hitting the road for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. This fall, she will travel to Pennsylvania, New York, California and Washington for live performances. She’s also planning to do overseas shows in Canada and Mexico.
